Island Grown Schools Farm Unit: This unit presents students with a comprehensive look at island farmers and their farms. As a year-long unit, the farm becomes a continuous thread both in their classroom and through a wide range of farm field trips. This unit can also be utilized for individual lessons that focus on the jobs of a farmer, farm-related math, and understanding where food comes from.
